This website

Our public website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies, and it isn't used on the parent portal or in classes. The pages also load typefaces from Google Fonts.

If you arrive through a referral link, the site keeps that referral code for 90 days in a first-party cookie named chronos_ref, so we can credit whoever referred you if you book or enrol later. The first code we see is the one we keep. It is the only thing our own site code stores in your browser.

If you send the enquiry form

We receive your name, your email, the grade you selected and anything you wrote. It is used to answer you and to arrange the next step. It is not sold. We share it only with the service provider that delivers our email for us (Resend, named below), and don't use it for anything else. Ask and we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

The form is sent to us by this site. Email is delivered by Resend, which we use to send mail. No third-party form processor is involved. If you would rather not use the form, write to [email protected].

Please do not put your child's name in the form. We do not need it at this stage.

If you sign up for the exam-window reminder

We receive your email address and the math semester you chose. We use them only to send the exam-window reminder: one email about three weeks before your child's EQAO window, or two if you chose "not sure yet." If you also ticked the box to hear about ChronosLearn classes, we'll email you about those too, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Otherwise, we delete your details once the last reminder is sent. Ask us at [email protected] and we'll delete them sooner.

If you register for the Sunday session

We receive your name, your email, your child's grade, and the math semester if you give it — the same semester question the exam-window reminder asks. If you came from a referral partner or a flyer, we also receive the code on that link, so we know which partner referred you and can pay them their referral fee. We don't sell this, and share it only with the providers that run the session for us — our email provider, and Google, for the video call. It's used to send you the session link and to follow up afterwards; if you also ticked the box for ChronosLearn class updates, we'll email you about those too, and you can unsubscribe any time. The session itself runs on Google Meet: other attendees may see your display name and video, so keep your camera off, or change your display name first, if you'd rather not use your real one. We don't keep this longer than we need it for that purpose. Ask and we'll delete it sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it.

If you message us on WhatsApp

WhatsApp Business is run on Meta's platform, not ours. If you message the team on WhatsApp, Meta processes the message to deliver it to us, the way any WhatsApp message is delivered. We receive your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, and the contents of your message — see Meta's own privacy policy for what that involves on their side. On ours: a member of the ChronosLearn team reads and replies to your message, to answer you and follow up on anything it led to — a reservation, a booked call. We don't sell it, and don't share it beyond Meta, who process it to deliver the message in the first place. We don't keep it longer than we need it for that purpose. Ask and we'll delete our copy sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it — though we can't delete WhatsApp's own copy on your device or Meta's servers, only ours.

If you book a call

Booking a call uses Google Workspace's appointment scheduling feature — the same Google account that runs our Meet and Calendar, not a separate tool. When you book, Google collects your name, your email, and the time you chose, adds it to our Google Calendar, and creates the Meet link for the call — see Google's own privacy policy for what that involves on their side. We use it to make the call and to follow up afterwards, and don't share it beyond Google, who process the booking in the first place. We don't keep it longer than we need it for that purpose. Ask and we'll delete it sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Sessions with a child

If a session with a child is ever run on a family device, nothing is transmitted while the child is using it. The record stays with you until you choose to send it. The diagnostic is not a public product on this site.

Children

Children have no account, no login, no password and no email address with us. We hold a child's first name and grade only, and only once a parent has given consent that we have recorded with a date against it. No record of a child exists without that consent record.

A parent can only ever see their own children. Nothing about your child is shown to another family, and no child is compared with another child, a class, or a provincial average.

What we deliberately do not collect

Nothing about a child that is not required to produce the report. No address, no date of birth, no school, no photograph.

Asking us about your data

Write to [email protected]. You can ask what we hold, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it — unless the law requires us to keep something, such as payment records once we take payment, which tax law requires us to keep.
